Senior Technical Writer

Constellation GovCloud (CGC) is a platform that uniquely accelerates compliance with requirements such as FedRAMP and StateRAMP. Once authorized, CGC enables these technology platforms to stay compliant through continuous monitoring and makes these compliant solutions available to end users and partners through a unique cloud marketplace.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer with proven experience in the field creating and managing documentation for FedRAMP compliance. A deep mastery of written and verbal communication is expected along with strong knowledge of the FedRAMP documentation requirements. The CGC Senior Technical Writer works collaboratively, but independently manages their writing tasks proactively (and would also have a strong opinion about the adverbs in this sentence). No detail is too small to get past CGC’s Senior Technical Writer.

  • Create and maintain clear and accurate documentation that meets FedRAMP requirements in the context of the unique approach and business model of Constellation GovCloud.
  • Create and maintain FedRAMP and StateRAMP System Security Plans (SSPs), Policies and Procedures and other documents as required for compliance.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to gather documentation and evidence required to keep all documentation in sync with rapidly-evolving architectures and technologies.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure all policies and procedures and documentation are aligned.
  • Own the versioning and document management process, ensuring that all documentation is handled properly.
  • Conduct continuous quality assurance on all documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, presenting the writing backlog and prioritizing as business and compliance needs dictate.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing focused on regulatory compliance, including FedRAMP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze, organize and translate complex technical concepts into clear and digestible information.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team on various tasks and identify goals and tasks that are attainable and appropriate for ensuring CGC’s success.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a nationally accredited university in Technical Writing, English, Communication or a related field.
